Our Wild Boar Christmas!
Most older breeds of pigs have more fat than the modern intensively reared pigs. This gives the meat succulance and flavour - the way pork used to taste! It also means you get absolutly brilliant crackling - it rarely gets to the plate, being pinched as the joint is being carved!We make traditional sausages with the organic pork, and a specialist range using Wild Boar meat. The Wild Boar sausages are a full-on heavy duty sausages - bet you cannot eat more than two! With mashed potato and onion gravy - a real heartwarming meal!
We also have a range of Gammon and bacon. A Gammon steak, with a poached egg nestling on top- a quick meal for the hungriest hunter! The bacon is medium sliced, and because of the lack of water in the meat, fries without spitting and no white scum. Two slices of fresh bread, a bit of butter - a bacon butty of your dreams! Go on - spoil yourself!
